Green Curly Kale - 1 bunch - Hayshaker Farm, Walla Walla, WA - Kale is a tasty and nutritious green with a earthy and bittersweet flavor. It has high levels of fiber, antioxidants, calcium, vitamins C and K, and iron. Massaging or cooking these greens breaks down their texture, making them sweeter and easier to digest. Kale is choice for a hearty salad, kale chips, smoothies or soup.
Shallots - ~1/2 lb - Channing Farm, Twisp, WA - Shallots taste similar to peppery red onions with a hint of garlic. They’re prized for their delicate flavor and ability to caramelize down into a melty texture.
Italian Eggplant - ~1 lb - Royal Produce, Royal City, WA - These pretty purples are tender, mild, and sweet with a light bitterness. Before they're cooked they have a spongy texture that absorbs the flavors of whatever they're cooked with, but after cooking they become soft and creamy. Make the classic eggplant parmesan, grill them to enjoy with pasta, or roast and blend for baba gahnoush.
Romaine Lettuce - 1 head - Hayshaker Farm, Walla Walla, WA - Romaine lettuce has a delightfully crisp texture which makes for a refreshing salad. Its sturdiness allows for romaine to be roasted, grilled, used in stir-fry, or used as a gluten free option for wraps!
Roma Tomatoes - ~1 1/3 lbs - Royal Produce, Royal City, WA - A great tomato for saucing, paste, and canning becuase of its denseness and flavor!

ARTISAN CHEESE | gouda - oliver family creamery, zilah, wa - This young Gouda cheese is between 2-4 months aged. This Dutch cheese is very creamy with a slight sweetness. We eat Gouda with fruit, in a salad, or on a sandwich. There are so many ways to eat Gouda, but my favorite is to eat it with apples slices. So Good!!! Ingredients List: Raw Milk, Cultures, Salt & Rennet. Storage Instructions: Wrap it in cheese paper or parchment paper and keep it in the refrigerator.
