The farmers markets may be winding, but local farmers and producers are still growing, raising, baking, making, and harvesting food for our region! Update your fall subscriptions with All-Purpose Flour, Plant Protein, Grass-Fed Beef, and Artisan Bread.

Celery - 1 bunch - Westwind Organics, Mount Vernon, WA - A staple for veggie pot pie, apple celery salad, stuffing, a big pot of chili, or the classic snack - ants on a log.

Purple Striped Garlic - 1 head - Channing Farm, Twisp, WA - Garlic is said to be one of the most important ingredients in all the culinary arts. Grown to perfection, this garlic will be the start to any delicious meal. Leave the cloves whole or crushed for a more mild taste, mince or grate to maximize the garlic flavor.

Buttercup Squash - 1 count - Full Bushel Farm, Medical Lake, WA - Buttercup squash have a creamy, deep orange flesh with a rich, sweet flavor. The relatively dry flesh of the butternut squash makes it a great candidate for a squash and coconut curry or roasted squash with a pad of butter.

Fioretto Cauliflower - 1 head - Hayshaker Farm, Walla Walla, WA - Tender shoots with delicious buds and leaves.

Chioggia Beets - ~1 1/2 lbs - Welcome Table Farm, Walla Walla, WA - Chioggia beets stand out from other varieties with their pink bullseye center. Sometimes referred to as candy cane beets, these roots are sweet and mild relative to other beet varieties. They often take less time to cook than red beets and add beautiful color to fresh beet recipes!

Rainbow Chard - 1 bunch - Westwind Organics, Mount Vernon, WA - Swiss chard, or rainbow chard, is a leafy green with vibrantly colored stalks. Swiss chard has a similar flavor to spinach or beet greens; try it sauteed with garlic and lemon, or try pairing it with mushrooms, ricotta cheese, and herbs in a galette!

Purple Majesty Potatoes - ~1 1/3 lbs - Elithorp Farm, Deer Park, WA - These deep purple potatoes are add rich color to potato salad, French fries, or mashed potatoes. Their flavor is buttery and slightly sweet with a moist and firm texture. This variety of spuds is high in antioxidants!

Gypsy Peppers - ~3/4 lbs - Royal Produce, Royal City, WA - These peppers are sweet with a mild flavor.

ARTISAN CHEESE | cotija - gouda, oliver family creamery, zilah, wa - This young Gouda cheese is between 2-4 months aged. This Dutch cheese is very creamy with a slight sweetness. We eat Gouda with fruit, in a salad, or on a sandwich. There are so many ways to eat Gouda, but my favorite is to eat it with apples slices. So Good!!! Ingredients List: Raw Milk, Cultures, Salt & Rennet. Storage Instructions: Wrap it in cheese paper or parchment paper and keep it in the refrigerator.

Ambrosia Apples - ~12 lbs - Tonnemaker Hill Farm, Royal City, WA - Ambrosia apples are a damn good apple. They are sweet, juicy, and crisp with honey-like notes. Their low acidity makes them brown slower than other apples, making them great for adding apple slices to your lunchbox!

Seckel Pears - ~1 lb - Tonnemaker Hill Farm, Royal City, WA - These petite pears are known for their crisp bite and concentrated sweetness.

She rotates the chickens daily on no-spray pasture so they can enjoy the sunshine, bugs, and fresh water. The poultry receive a non-GMO, locally grown grain mix produced by farmer on the Palouse.
